ABOUT US VASAVI ACADEMY OF EDUCATION VASAVI ACADEMY OF EDUCATION was established in 1981 by a few prominent members of the society under the stewardship of Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah an eminent social worker, an able administrator and former Governor of the States of Bihar and Karnataka with the laudable objective of providing quality education on non-commercial basis to all, particularly in the field of professional education. Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah served as Hon. Chief Patron of the Academy guiding its destiny and was indeed a friend, philospher and guide throughout his life. The academy established the following Institutions :

Pendekanti Law College was established by Vasavi Academy of Education and formally inaugurated on 13th April, 1991 by the then Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Sri Justice Ranganadha Misra, with then Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Krishna Kanth as the Chief Guest. The mission of the Academy is to arm young brains with competitive skills and technology and nurture holistic development of the individuals better tomorrow. The College started with the 3 year LL.B Evening Course in the first year 1990-1991, from the Second Year onwards the college introduced a 3 year LL.B Day Course, 15 year LL.B Course intended for the benefit of Post-lntermediate students. The College at present has two sections of 80 students each of 3 year LL.B Course and one section of 80 students of 5 year LL.B course. For first time in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Six Foreign students sponsored by Indian Council for Culture Relations, Govt. of India have taken admission in the 1st year of 5 Years LL.B. Course for the academic year 2002-2003. Every year the College is securing more than 90% pass in Annual Examinations and securing 3-4 Ranks among the first 10 Ranks in the University and secured many Osmania University Gold Medals. Pendekanti Law College is also awarding One Medal each to the toppers in 3 year and 5 year LL.B Course, in memory of Late Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah. Another Gold Medal was instituted in the year 2000 by the family members of Late V. Lakshmi Devi, Advocate, in her memory to be awarded to a student who secures First Class with highest marks in Contract-1 & II in 3 year course and 5 years course. The Family members of Late R.V. Rama Murthy instituted a Prize in his memory to be awarded to the student who passes LL. B in 1 st attempt with highest marks in Family Law I & II among 3 years and 5 years Law students. In addition incentives like merit certificates, book prizes to year-wise toppers and subject-wise toppers are presented. In the year 2001, students of the college secured the 1 st Rank in the Osmania University both in 3 Years & 5 Years LL. B. Courses. The College also encourages extra-curricular activities of the students. To bring out hidden talents of the students, and to train them in court craft, the College has been conducting regular Moot Courts at College Level as well as at Regional Level by conducting Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah Memorial South India Moot Court competitions. The College team was adjudged as the Best Team at the 11th All India Moot Court Competition held at Ernakulam in March 2001 and won the Team Championship. Ms. Kaumudi Goda a student of 5/5 bagged the Best Student Advocate of India award as well as the Best Women Student Advocate of India award. The other members of the team were Mr. D. Suyodan and Mr. Syed Tousif Basha. The College students are doing well in sports and games. The College has a very good Library with more than 5000 books and a good number of Law Journals and Reference Books. The College has well qualified, experienced and dedicated 11 full time Members of Faculty, selected by duly constituted committee of experts as per the rules. It is the earnest resolve of the teaching staff of the college to strive towards imparting high standards of teaching, training and developing human resources. Since education without quality is like a flower without fragrance. The Academy has aquired land at Chikkadpally, Hyderabad for the construction of the building to the Pendekanti Law College. It is proposed to start the construction of the building in September, 2002. Due to the dedicated efforts for over a decade Pendekanti Law College has emerged as the centre of excellence in qualitative legal education and strives to maintain its pre-eminent position.
