In June 2004 examinations for the LLB course was held by delhi University Department of Laws. The two accused were students of LLb IV semestre and on 14th June 2004 They appeared for Paku of criminal Procedure code Prof.Thakur ,the Head of the Department of Microbiology was officiating as Superintendent of the Examination on that day. At about 3 pm, he saw that the accused whose name was Rajiv was tslking with an outsider at the gate of the Department and accepting a samll alip of paper from him. When the student returned to his seat, Prof. Thakur on searching him, took the slip out from his Jeans pocket.He however permitted the student to proceed with the examination.At 5pm when examination was over , the accused asked Prof.Thakur to return the said slip.On refusal , the accused slapped and twisted the hand of Prof.Thakur.
